Description

ircAjaxChat is a fully functionnal chat engine which provides features such as IRC servers do, written in PHP/MySQL/Ajax by me. It allows chatting on a webpage without any refresh, with multiple modules such as chatter accounts, administration tools and fun utilities (Quizz). This engine was inspired from IRC servers and clients.

Overview

Full Ajax support. No visible refresh for the user.
IRC-Like commands available (/kick /ban /slap /me /msg /join ...)
Multichannel script
Smileys added to the chat with extensible database
Quizz present into the engine to allow fun evenings with friends. Q&A database extensible.

Requirements

Apache Web Server
PHP 4.1 or higher with MySQL support
MySQL Server

v1.0 - 12-Feb-07 - Added some administrative rules as IRC with user accounts and flags for each channel.

v0.8 - 10-Feb-07 - New version of the engine, lighter for use. Some older version made Apache slower.
